Our client is a major shipping operator with multiple routes across one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world with a mix of freight customers and consumer travellers. Private equity backed, significant investment in ships and facilities improvement has positioned the company in an excellent position for growth.
The B2B segment includes freight customers and corporate travel partners who sell indirectly to consumers online and via packaged travel. This demanding and complex customer group is managed through the call centre, online or on a key account basis and are a diverse client group ranging from owner managed hauliers to major supply chain organisations, tour and coach operators as well as online travel organisations often selling as part of a package to consumers.
This role involves getting close to customers and stakeholders in order to develop and deliver a winning sales strategy which increases volumes and revenues. With a team of account managers and the call centre team, the successful job holder will ensure existing accounts are grown and new key accounts identified, whilst enhancing customer services and experience. In addition, you will have significant input into pricing and capacity management and of course, team and capability development.
Candidates will be of graduate calibre, possibly with a business qualification but more importantly have had significant sales management and customer services responsibility in a high volume environment which involves multiple sales channels, key account development and working closely across the business to deliver results.
