Outreach Intern at The National Committee 2015


The National Committee on the Post-2015 Development Agenda is looking for highly qualified candidates who are ready to launch their professional careers in public service and beyond. Duties mainly focused on supporting the High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (HLPEP) process, working from Indonesia’s Secretariat to realize the Bali Meeting on March 2013.
Objectives

To provide current students and fresh graduates with important practical experience which complements their field of study, which at the same time will be of benefit to the task to which the intern is assigned.
To promote among the students and fresh graduates a better understanding of major global issue, specifically HLPEP and to give them an insight into Indonesia’s role as a host country for the 4th HLPEP Meeting in Bali in 2013.

To expose the students to the international diplomacy and international public service and its policies and programmes and have them become ambassadors of good will.

To enable students and fresh graduates from all parts of Indonesia to exchange information during and after the internship so as to appreciate cultural diversity amongst different people.
Positions

Outreach Intern

Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of outreach programs.
- Develops and implements an integrated outreach strategy and function for HLPEP Indonesia Secretariat, ensuring a more focused, proactive and cohesive approach to external and internal communications
- Provides administrative support for donor relations, partnerships and agreement
- Being focal point for management processing of outreach coordination
- Has to be available from 20 February – 20 April 2013 (extendable) and come to our office at Jl. Veteran III/2, Jakarta 10110, Indonesia from Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in journalism, communications, political science, international relations or related discipline; master’s degree is desirable.
- Educated to degree standard with significant personal and professional communications experience both strategic and tactical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa and English to be able to build relationships and influence at all levels internally and externally
- Has an extensive experience in liaising with institutions, organizations and people from different cultural backgrounds and nationalities.
- Strong management and leadership skills.

Web Design/Development Intern
Responsibilities
- Builds and develops web pages using HTML in the content management system or via Dreamweaver and CSS
- Creates banner design utilizing tools such as Photoshop or Fireworks, updates to Flash files and image research
- Input data, copyedit and make changes to the website using the content management system and HTML
- Has an extensive experience in web designing and web developing
- Has to be available from 20 February – 20 April 2013 (extendable); working hours are flexible
Eligibility
- Organized, mature and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student in any related field.
- Educated to degree standard with significant personal and professional communications experience both strategic and tactical.
- Strong management and leadership skills.

Social Media Intern
Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of outreach programs
- Updates social media networks regularly and accordingly
- Has to be available from 20 February – 20 April 2013 (extendable); working hours are flexible
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree is not required although desirable
- Educated to degree standard with significant personal and professional communications experience both strategic and tactical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa and English to be able to build communicative updates on social media networks
- Has an extensive experience in managing social media
- Has an extensive knowledge on social media tools and technologies
- Strong management and leadership skills.
Keep in mind:
Cost: internships are done based on voluntary basis. All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Travel: all travels related to work will be borne by the National Committee on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

Medical insurance: You will be responsible for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during the internship and must show proof of a valid major global medical insurance coverage.
Confidentiality: You must be discreet and keep confidential any and all unpublished information obtained during the course of the internship and may not publish any documents based on such information and you will sign integrity pact and confidential agreement.

Academic Credit: You may get academic credit from your institution of higher education for the internship. Check with your university to confirm their academic credit policy for internships.
