Engineer / Technologist – Apply
We’re looking for a technologist with experience building
large-scale/large-data web applications. We’d like you to build the
internal and external APIs that will power new features for Digg.
Experience building social applications is ideal. Experience with Python
is a must.
The fine print
- 3+ years experience developing web-based applications/sites using Python
- Experience with building REST/JSON APIs
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: redis, memcache, nginx, tornado, hadoop, mongo, mysql
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3)
- BS/MS in Computer Science preferred
Android Developer – Apply
We’re looking for an experienced developer to build the future of
Digg for Android phones and tablets. Knowledge across frontend and
backend Android frameworks is essential. Experience building social,
news, and/or content applications is ideal. Must be prepared to own the
product from start to finish, from networking and storage to view
hierarchies and animation.
The fine print
- 1+ years of Android experience, with at least one app in the app store
- 4+ years of software and/or web development experience
- Strong technical depth, design and user experience skills a plus
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- BS/MS in Computer Science preferred
